I purchased my first world cup ball in 1986 (México). I was only 10 at the time and I tried to earn and save as much money as I could all Summer. When I went to México to visit family in December '86, I purchased my ball at an Adidas shop. I've gotten the ball signed by four players from México's '86 WC team. However, I could not afford the world cup balls (at the time) from 1990-2006.

I've been a huge fan of the world cup since 1986. I've attended three world cups WC94 (USA), WC98 (France) and WC06 (Germany). I've always been attracted by the different designs of the balls, but had not been able to afford them until now.

In 1994, I purchased an Adidas Tango because I could not afford the Questra and I managed to get it signed by Romario during WC94 at Stanford. In 2006, I purchased a Nike "México" ball and have gotten it signed by almost all the Mexican players from the WC06 team.

I have purchased the Adidas set of balls (1970-2010). Now, I would like to start acquiring the balls from 1930-1966.

The '86 Azteca is my favorite because it was the very first ball in my collection and it brings back many memories of my trip to visit family in México as a kid.
